B. Braun 0.9% Sodium Chloride Injection USP in PAB Bags

B. Braun 0.9% Sodium Chloride Injection USP (0.9% saline) is supplied in PAB® Partial Additive Bag containers. The manufacturer describes these solutions as sterile, nonpyrogenic and isotonic, with no bacteriostatic or antimicrobial agents. PAB is a partially filled container designed for immediate admixture without first withdrawing fluid.

Fill sizes and case quantities

• 50 mL fill in a 100 mL PAB bag — 84 bags per case; B. Braun reference S8004-5384.
• 100 mL fill in a 150 mL PAB bag — 64 bags per case; B. Braun reference S8004-5264.

B. Braun lists a 15-month shelf life for both configurations. Check the expiry date printed on each container; remaining shelf life varies by lot and shipment date.
