POLYSPORIN® Triple Antibiotic Ointment with HEAL-FAST® is a non-prescription topical ointment for minor cuts, scrapes and burns. The 30 g tube contains three active ingredients in each gram:
- Polymyxin B sulfate: 10,000 units
- Bacitracin zinc: 500 units
- Gramicidin: 0.25 mg
Inactive ingredients include cocoa butter, cottonseed oil, olive oil, petrolatum, sodium pyruvate and vitamin E.
Directions and warnings
Clean the affected area and apply a small amount 1–3 times daily as needed. The area may be covered with a sterile bandage. For external use only. Do not use in the eyes, over large areas of the body, or if allergic to any ingredient. Ask a doctor or pharmacist before use on deep or puncture wounds, animal bites or serious burns, or if pregnant or breastfeeding. Stop use and ask a doctor if irritation or new symptoms occur, the condition worsens, or it lasts longer than 7 days. Keep out of reach of children. If swallowed, call a poison control centre or get medical help right away. Store between 15°C and 30°C.
