The Boomerang is a compensating filter to even out the density of shoulder radiographs as well as the Thorax, nasion and chin. The FI-01 measures 29 L x 19 W x 4.5 cm H.

• Metal chain along the periphery projects outside the anatomy, and reduces risks of legal litigations.
• Area of maximum absorption: equivalent to +/- 9 cm of muscle for large shoulders, cephalometry, etc.
• Area of intermediate absorption: 45° gradient, for smaller shoulders

• The filter will stay in the vertical position with a slight pressure from the rotated trunk.

Made of silicone rubber, their absorption is ideal at twice that of muscle, which permits placing them on only one side of the patient. They are positioned with precision close to the patient. If dropped, they do not break or harm anyone. They resist alcohol and heat and are waterproof. Autoclave is recommended for sterilization; alcohol or Zephiran for disinfection.
For Hands and Wrists: On the A.P. view, filter only the ringers, since there is little difference in thickness from the hand. For all other views, superimpose up to the metacarpals   For Feet:: Place the toes near the thick end of the filter, for all views. Interposed before the rays, a filter reduces radiation to the patient. Pressure (with a small wood board) often straightens out the toes

The Patient Caliper is made of lightweight aluminum with an adjustment slide. No screws to lose.
