E-Z-HD (barium sulfate) for oral suspension is indicated for use in double-contrast radiographic examinations of the esophagus, stomach and duodenum to visualize the gastrointestinal (GI) tract in patients 12 years and older.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION: 
For Oral Administration. This product should not be used in patients with known or suspected perforation of the GI tract, known obstruction of the GI tract, high risk of aspiration, or hypersensitivity to barium sulfate products. Rarely, severe allergic reactions of anaphylactoid nature have been reported following administration of barium sulfate contrast agents.

ACB was a barium sulfate for suspension (96% w/w) for rectal administration. Barium sulfate, due to its high molecular density, is opaque to x-rays and therefore acts as a positive contrast agent for radiographic studies. The active ingredient is a fine, white, odorless, tasteless, bulky powder which is free from grittiness. Its aqueous suspensions are neutral to litmus. It is practically insoluble in water, acidic or alkaline solutions, and organic solvents.
